We are on the lookout for a dynamic and passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our vibrant team! In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of implementing engaging Occupational Therapy services in a group setting, where every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact on our clients' lives.
As a COTA, you will create an interactive and client-centered environment that fosters growth, healing, and connection. You’ll be guided by the Occupational Therapy Standards of Practice and the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics, while also ensuring compliance with facility policies and Joint Commission regulations.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Ignite Engagement: Bring your creativity and enthusiasm to life as you assist in delivering captivating occupational therapy services in a group setting that puts clients at the heart of the experience!
- Collaborative Spirit: Team up with an incredible group of mental health professionals to provide top-tier, evidence-based mental and psychosocial care. Together, you’ll create a supportive and uplifting atmosphere for our clients.
- Master De-escalation: Keep your skills finely tuned in effective de-escalation techniques, employing Collaborative Problem Solving ©, therapeutic self, relationship-based care, and trauma-informed care to create a safe and supportive environment.
- Guided Growth: Work under the supervision of a skilled Occupational Therapist, gaining valuable insights and experience that will enhance your professional journey.
- Culturally Attuned: Be well-versed in gender, cultural differences, and age-appropriate care, ensuring that every client feels respected and valued.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate degree required, with certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Current and valid Minnesota state OTA license.
- Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks.
- Possess the skills necessary to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
