What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Prairie View?
****MONDAY - FRIDAY FROM 5:00 A.M. TO 1:30 P.M.****
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Experience: 6 months Housekeeping experience preferred
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to read and understand instruction manuals and SDS
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to use chemicals responsibly
- Must be courteous and professional toward customers and co-workers
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds
- Must be able to bend, squat, twist, work on hands/knees, reach above head, push floor equipment, and crawl under furniture, and work on a ladder
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for a minimum of two hours at a time
- Must be able to pass a Kansas Bureau of Investigation screen
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The Prairie View campus cleaning is done in a professional and orderly manner
- Assigned public trash is dumped daily
- Assigned floors are maintained and kept from debris, trash, and stains
- Assigned restrooms are cleaned daily according to written procedures
- Assigned offices are cleaned weekly
- Maintains a professional and supportive level of communication with coworkers and supervisor
