The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position. Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate-level courses in Human Nutrition and Food (HUNF). Advise undergraduate students and work with student organizations. Develop research collaboration both within and across disciplines Implement research related to nutrition, dietetics, food science, and/or food systems management and publish results of this research in refereed journals. Seek and acquire externally funded grants and contracts for relevant research projects. Engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, college, university, community, and professional organizations. Assist with the recruitment of students into the HUNF program. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Ph.D. in nutrition, food systems, dietetics, or a closely related field. 1-2 years of minimum experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A strong, recent record of publications in high-impact refereed journals. Previous or current external funding as PI or Co-PI. Extensive experience engaging in community-related nutrition research. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication skills for varied audiences. Demonstrate proficiency and commitment to high-quality classroom instruction, new course development, and contribute to program development and evaluation. Demonstrate support of professional organizations in the discipline. A strong record of training and experience engaging and supporting various populations in education, research, and practice.
