What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 Summer School Intervention Teacher Assistant (7/6/2026-7/17/2026) position at Prairie Point Elementary?
NOTE: This position requires two things:
1. A Missouri Substitute Certificate, which can be obtained by completing an application through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at www.dese.mo.gov.
2. Either 36 college credit hours or 20 hours of online instruction through Frontline AND a high school diploma. More information can be found at www.dese.mo.gov.

Grades 1-3 Reading Explorers
Grades 2-5 Math Explorers
Location & Times:
Prairie Point Elementary School
Program Hours:
8:30 am – 1:00 pm
Work Hours:
8:15 am - 1:15 pm (5 hours per day)
$18.23 per hour. Support staff working in the same position for summer school will receive their current hourly rate of pay. Minimum pay rates are noted below.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Positive interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
