Prairie Moon Waldorf School – an AWSNA and WECAN Associate Member school – in Lawrence, Kansas seeks a Waldorf early childhood teacher. Prairie Moon Waldorf School opened in 2005 and supports a strong, vibrant family community.
Early Childhood
The early childhood program currently consists of two mixed-age kindergarten classrooms for children ages 3–6 years.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have a passion for Waldorf education and experience teaching in a Waldorf early childhood classroom. We seek individuals who works well with others, as well as independently, and who possess a pioneering spirit and enthusiasm for bringing Waldorf education to the heart of America.
Candidates with experience with children and ability to become KDHE qualified as an assistant will be considered. We seek a substitute who works well with others, as well as independently, and who possesses a curiosity of learning about Waldorf education.
In order to sub for a lead teacher, you must meet all requirements for KDHE Lead teacher qualification (including training, background check, and health assessment). Subbing hours could either be from 8am-3pm or 11am-6pm.
Grades 1- 8
We seek a substitute who has a passion for Waldorf education and works well with others, as well as independently, and who possesses a curiosity of learning about Waldorf education.
In order to sub for a lead grades teacher, we ask that you visit our school and have observed each class for the main lesson.
Requirements include: background check, health assessment and TB test, and any training documentation.
Subbing hours are between 7:45 am and 3:15 pm.
