VCNA Prairie LLC is currently seeking a candidate to fill an Equipment Operator position for our Paxton Sand & Gravel Plant located in Paxton, Illinois. This position supports the processing plant that processes sand and gravel. This is a utility role involving labor tasks, plant maintenance tasks, and equipment operation. The successful candidate for this role will be self-motivated and have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Primary duties will include labor, maintenance, and equipment operation tasks to keep the Sand & Gravel Plant operational.
- Perform maintenance on plant such as cutting, welding, and replacing components.
- Operate heavy equipment to feed and support plant operations wheel loader.
Qualifications:
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience on a wheel loader.
- Welding and cutting experience preferred.
- Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
- Must work well with others.
- Able to perform a variety of duties, plant clean-up, maintenance, and operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in a variety of conditions.
- Willing to work weekends and overtime when needed.
- Willing to be flexible when called upon to perform other assignments or to assist in other areas at the discretion of management.
