This full-time (0.9 status) position is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiography and related imaging procedures in accordance with department protocols and quality standards.
- Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and position patients appropriately to ensure quality imaging and a positive patient experience.
- Provide safe, compassionate care to patients of all ages and respond appropriately to patient needs during imaging procedures.
- Follow radiation safety, imaging safety, and infection prevention standards to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
- Evaluate images for quality, accuracy, and proper identification prior to transmission and interpretation.
- Operate imaging equipment, PACS, and electronic medical record systems while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Start IVs and administer contrast media and medications as appropriate and within scope of practice.
- Assist with patient transport, department workflow, inventory management, and daily quality control activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Completion of two years of training in an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
Registry eligible by ARRT
Preference will be given to applicants with Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and/or Bone Mineral Density Testing experience.

Holds or is eligible for certification by the ARRT.

Must maintain certification with the ARRT in Radiologic Technology and obtain certification in Computer Tomography within 1 year from the date of hire.
