Qualifications:SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and policies related to the gaming industry.
2. Conduct routine patrols of the casino, surrounding enterprise buildings, and grounds to ensure safety and security.
3. Enforce gaming and enterprise rules, including alcohol-related regulations; report and, when necessary, apprehend individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal activity.
4. Inspect equipment and machinery for signs of tampering; identify and report safety hazards including fire risks, health concerns, or security issues to the Security Supervisor.
5. Monitor departing staff to prevent theft or removal of enterprise property.
6. Alert Surveillance in case of fire, unauthorized entry, or other emergencies.
7. Grant access to authorized individuals; document incidents such as property damage, unusual events, injuries and equipment malfunctions.
8. Obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR and AED or Emergency Medical Responder certification; provide first aid to sick or injured guests and employees.
9. Hold Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and consistently apply that knowledge.
10. Assist with other assigned duties and responsibilities as needed.
11. Foster a culture of hospitality and vigilance across all security functions utilizing dynamic security practices.
12. Maintain Title 31 Compliance in accordance with federal regulations.
13. Serves as the shift supervisor in the absence of the Security Supervisor ensuring proper coverage, assigning duties and adherence to protocols while carrying out duties described in the Security Supervisor’s Job Responsibilities.
14. Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for a Tribal Key gaming license. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Qualifications & Skills:
· High School diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
· Ability to read and understand basic instructions, and compose clear memos and brief correspondence.
· Capable of writing detailed incident reports and effectively communicating information to guests, vendors, and team members in both one-on-one and small group settings.
· Demonstrates sound judgment and common sense in following instructions presented in written, verbal, or visual formats.
· Skilled in identifying and resolving issues as they arise, using practical problem-solving and de-escalation abilities.
Experience: Security, military, or police experience preferred but not required. Prefer one year of casino security experience or similar experience. Prefer one year of supervisory experience but not required. On-site training is required.
Physical: Requires standing, walking, bending. May be required to lift up to 30 pounds. Must have good vision (corrected to 20/20).
