Qualifications:SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
1. Prepares the marketing plan for the property, including budgets, reports, projections.
2. Tracks and analyzes marketing and sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
3. Makes data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
4. Evaluates the effectiveness of all marketing activities, events, and promotions.
5. Defines, sets and executes quotas and goals for the marketing and sales team.
6. Maintains direct contact with our advertising agency and other vendors. This is to ensure timely and appropriate creation and placement of advertisements and the development and production of marketing materials.
7. Determines optimum mixture of promotional dollars spent to advertising dollars spent.
8. Buys entertainment and makes sure the property is getting the best value without sacrificing the quality of our entertainment.
9. Manages concert event production, makes sure all events happen without any problems and minimizes event rider expenses.
10. Coordinates the involvement of the management team and other staff members in the planning and approval of marketing strategies, events, promotions and materials.
11. Coordinates photo and film shoots, as necessary.
12. Coordinates the involvement with the local community with various sponsorships.
13. Maintains current information regarding demographics and other market factors to maximize the effectiveness of marketing and sales activities.
14. Assists the General Manager in the management of public relations activities and coordinates the development of positive publicity for the enterprise.
15. Promotes effective communication concerning promotional material among all levels of enterprise staff.
16. Maintains complete and accurate records of all marketing activities.
17. Maintains strict confidentiality of all enterprise business matters.
18. Maintains Title 31 compliance accurately
19. Assist General Manager in the promotional oversight of Grand River Casino
20. Performs other duties assigned by the General Manager.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for Tribal Key Gaming License. Must qualify for a Tribal Key Dual Gaming License.
Education: Baccalaureate degree in marketing, business administration or other applicable curriculum. Applicable experience in addition to that stated below may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience: Five years of marketing experience in the gaming or hospitality industry is required. Experience in the utilization of casino player tracking system data is preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Operation of IBM-type personal computer, using word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet (MS Excel) applications is required. Must possess strong skills in initiating and maintaining effective business relationships. A high level of skill in communication, both verbally and in writing is required as well.
Physical: Requires normal (or corrected to) hearing and visual acuity, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, reaching, and tolerance for long periods of sitting.
