Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Operations Manager with management and leadership skills who can manage a diverse, widespread group of transit drivers in a way that promotes employee teamwork and commitment to Prairie Hills Transit.
Necessary to:
- Be a strong, clear communicator with dedication to transparency, integrity, and ethics.
- Have or be willing to obtain knowledge of the principles and practices of budgeting, strategic planning and employee development.
- Provide new-hire driver training, investigate accidents, and provide backup driving as needed.
- Clear speech and hearing are essential to communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and other staff members.
- Have or be willing to obtain the essentials of safety and risk management and possess the ability to process accident scenes and investigate the causes.
- Must be able to work under time pressures and meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience with a strong track record of supervising teams and leading projects.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make informed decisions
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory
