Rate $40-$47 DOE

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility. The RN oversees resident assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, administers medications and treatments, and collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families to promote resident health, safety, and overall well-being.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ physical, emotional, and medical needs and document findings accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), as applicable.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records, progress notes, and medication documentation.
• Coordinate physician visits, diagnostic testing, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, staff education, and interdisciplinary care conferences as needed.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification, as required by the facility.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Knowledge of applicable nursing standards, documentation requirements, and infection prevention practices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to assist with resident care and mobility in accordance with safe patient-handling procedures.
• Ability to respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations, with or without reasonable accommodation.
