Massage Therapist

The multi-discipline Movement Center by Prairie Health & Wellness is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. As a massage therapist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside other healthcare professionals (Chiropractic, MNRI, Personal Trainer) in a dynamic and collaborative environment. At PHW we appreciate the many ways that massage can have an impact on our patient’s overall well-being by helping to regulate stress response, clear lymphatic buildup, pull toxins and lactic acid from muscle tissue, and provide relief from tight or sore muscles. Movement by PHW is open Monday - Friday from 8:30-5:00. This position will be either a 4 or 5 day workweek.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine specific needs and tailored massage treatments.
• Provide a wide range of services: deep tissue, Swedish, sports, neuromuscular, hot stone, etc.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Communicate effectively with clients about their treatment plans and any potential side effects or risks.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and treatment plans.
• Keep a clean and organized treatment room, including laundry and equipment maintenance.
• Attend and participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities.
• Adhere to all state and local regulations and guidelines for massage therapy.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Maintain impeccable written and verbal communication with teammates and patients
• A valid and current massage therapy license.
• Minimum of two years of experience working as a massage therapist.
• Ability to quickly get up-to-speed on internal software (Cerbo, Bamboo HR, Nextcloud)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
