Prairie Gymnastics Club is a locally owned, community-based, family-friendly gymnastics facility committed to helping every athlete reach their full potential. We are seeking a positive, motivated, and experienced Boys Recreational & Team Coach to help grow our boys program and make a lasting impact on the athletes we serve.
Position Type: Part-Time
Compensation: Based on experience
Schedule: Afternoon, evening, and weekend hours available
Responsibilities
- Coach assigned boys team groups
- Lead daily team practices and athlete development
- Attend team competitions (approximately 5–6 per competitive season for assigned groups)
- Teach recreational gymnastics classes
- Teach beginner through advanced tumbling classes
- Assist with athlete evaluations and progression recommendations
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and engaging training environment
- Ensure all health, safety, and operational policies are followed
- Assist with registration, customer service, and other administrative duties as needed
- Assist with equipment cleaning, sanitization, and basic facility maintenance
- Support the planning and operation of Prairie-hosted events, including the annual Windy City Invitational men's and women's gymnastics competition
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance coaching knowledge and effectiveness

Minimum Requirements
- Previous gymnastics coaching experience required
- Ability to safely spot beginner through advanced tumbling skills
- Ability to pass a USA Gymnastics Background Check
- Obtain and maintain USA Gymnastics Safety Certification and Professional Membership within 30 days of hire
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Some college coursework preferred
