What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver position at Prairie Grain Partners LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Truck Driver will perform the activities pertaining to the receiving, storing, delivering, and shipping of Grain, Fertilizer and Chemicals for the Location.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
Maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas
Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials
Maintains required DOT paperwork as appropriate
Conducts standard DOT truck inspection
Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, and reports maintenance malfunctions to management
Maintains strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points
Adhere to all Prairie Grain Partners' safety policies and procedures in compliance with Company and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DNT, DOT, ect.)
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
High school education or equivalent preferred
Must be 18 years of age
Must be eligible to legally work in the United States.
English Proficiency
Approved pre-employment drug screen
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with individuals within and outside the organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office (M.S. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internet preferred
Ability to think quickly, maintain self-control, and adapt to stressful situations.
Ability to work overtime, weekends holidays as needed
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A
