SUMMARY
This role focuses on contributing to the success of Prairie Flower Casino by supporting Prairie Flower Casino’s Mission and Values through Human Resources processes, including maintenance of data, team member files, benefits processing, and communications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintaining team member data including, processing new hires, terminations, benefits, licensing, team member files, and status changes.
- Performs data entry and consistent audits to ensure accuracy.
- Performs weekly filing as needed.
- Runs and distributes reports while formatting to standards ensuring thoroughness, privacy, and accuracy.
- Ensures proper pre-employment and termination processes are followed for all new team members. Initiates pre-boarding processes and follows up to ensure complete.
- Works with HR Director to write and distribute weekly companywide communications, including the weekly newsletter.
- Manages uniform room including keeping room organized, conducting inventory, ordering/issuing uniforms, and coordinating with laundry and tailor services.
- Assists team members with questions regarding HRIS app/website, benefits, leaves, and other HR questions. Responsible for clear, concise, and timely communications.
- Will cross train with other HR team members and act as a backup for Recruitment and Training tasks.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Works the required schedule with flexibility to meet the needs of a 24/7 business. Works physically onsite to interact personally with team members and others.
- Works within all safety standards. Is aware of and monitors for safety hazards or issues and reports to necessary contact for resolution.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or another related field highly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of Human Resource experience required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Benefits and HRIS management experience required.
- PHR or equivalent certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal skills required. Must have an ability to speak effectively to groups and team members of all levels and collaborate on projects as needed.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be proficient with using a computer including experience with Microsoft Office.
- Must have a strong background and proficient using and maintaining data in ADP Workforce Now.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bilingual Spanish skills a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write standard correspondence.
- Basic math skills are necessary including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate PGC Gaming License.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak, talk, and hear.
- Regularly required to be at a computer workstation for most of the shift.
- Will regularly be required to reach overhead, lift up to 25 pounds, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Will use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls including keyboard, mouse, remote for presentations, files, copy machine, clothes hangers, and phone.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, increasing to loud when on the casino floor.
- Must be able to operate, communicate and remain calm in mentally stressful situations.
- This casino has an enclosed gaming area where smoking is allowed. Team members may be exposed to a smoking environment in or around this designated smoking area.
