We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager skilled in Technology Risk, Audit, Cybersecurity Risk
for a
contract engagement
supporting enterprise-level cybersecurity and technology risk initiatives within a highly governed PMO environment.
This role is
remote-hybrid
, with
bi-monthly onsite presence required
for key planning, governance, and stakeholder sessions.

You will lead cybersecurity and technology risk initiatives from kickoff through implementation and close, ensuring delivery aligns with security, risk, and compliance standards.
Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cybersecurity and technology risk projects across the full project lifecycle
- Develop, maintain, and govern project documentation in alignment with PMO methodology
- Serve as the primary liaison between Portfolio Managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders
- Create and facilitate project kickoffs, status meetings, and governance forums
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and rollout strategies
- Manage and communicate project status, risks, issues, and control impacts on a regular cadence
- Partner with Portfolio Managers on resource and capacity forecasting
- Coordinate with ITRM, Audit, Compliance, and Architecture teams to ensure alignment with risk frameworks and standards
- Manage project scope, change requests, approvals, and governance gate controls
- Ensure testing, validation, and remediation activities are completed and documented
- Maintain project artifacts including risk documentation, remediation evidence, and governance materials
- Lead implementation planning, cutover coordination, and post-project lessons learned
- Escalate risks and issues appropriately and maintain mitigation plans for high-risk initiatives
Project Manager - Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required (Project Management certification preferred)
- 5 years of experience managing enterprise-level IT or infrastructure projects
- 5 years of experience supporting or leading cybersecurity initiatives
- Proven experience working in regulated or highly governed environments
- Strong background managing risk, compliance, and control-driven projects
- Experience partnering with Audit, Compliance, and Technology Risk Management teams
- Advanced project management skills (planning, estimating, tracking, risk, scope, change control)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior leadership
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting retail or large enterprise organizations
- Experience with Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) tools (Planview preferred)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity initiatives such as IAM, vulnerability remediation, control remediation, and regulatory compliance
