Role:
Family Practice Physician: The Family Practice Physician provides high quality comprehensive primary, preventive, and therapeutic medical care, promotes wellness, and fosters a culture of caring, respect, and understanding for patients of Prairie Band Potawatomi Health Center. The Family Practice Physician works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Nurse Practitioner-Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: This Nurse Practitioner position serves as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the primary care clinic. The position serves as a Non-Physician Provider in the clinic and provides direct and comprehensive primary, preventative, and therapeutic medical care to patients. The Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team and plays a crucial role in providing high quality primary care services.
Physician Assistant: This Physician Assistant position serves as a Non-Physician Provider (NPP) in the primary care clinic. The Physician Assistant provides direct and comprehensive primary, preventative, and therapeutic medical care to patients. The Physician assistant works under the supervision of a Physician to diagnose and treat patients, prescribe medications, and educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
Family Practice Physician: At least one year experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Care, or Pediatrics.
NP-APRN: At least two years of clinical experience as a primary care, family medicine, Emergency Room, or Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner.
Physician Assistant: At least two years of clinical experience as a primary care, emergency room, or urgent care Physician's Assistant.
Education:
Family Practice Physician: Have obtained a Doctorate Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics. Have a current unrestricted state license to practice medicine. Have a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number. Have a current and valid BCLS certification.
NP-APRN: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Must have a current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Must have a current, valid and unrestricted State license as a Registered Nurse (RN) & Nurse Practitioner (NP). Must have a current and valid BCLS certification.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Must have a current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Must have a current, valid and unrestricted State license as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). Must have a current and valid BCLS certification.
