Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of a pool area by actively monitoring swimmers, enforcing pool rules, providing customer service, and performing basic maintenance tasks like cleaning debris, while ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:
- Ensures swimming pools, hot tubs, Cabanas, furniture, and the facilities are clean and safe.
- Responsible for ensuring the pool area meets the established level of cleanliness to achieve guest satisfaction
- Maintains towels in an orderly manner
- Provide guests with towels and track towel count checking in/out
- Assist guests with inquiries or concerns.
- Setting up umbrellas, loungers, and other pool furniture.
- Handles special requests in a manner that ensures guest satisfaction
- Follows established lost and found procedures
- Reports any maintenance issues to leadership.
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies ethically and encourages others to do the same
- Able to address guests who are not complying with pool rules
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Available to work the required schedule which includes outdoor summer conditions, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
- Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
- Ability to work well with team members and supervisory staff
- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment
Preferred
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Swimming Experience
- Previous hotel and environmental services experience
- Prior customer service experience
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items, bend, and stoop while performing essential job functions
- Stand and walk for up to eight hours
