The Energy Marshal role in Montogomery, Alabama is responsible for ensuring the safe isolation, control, and management of all energy sources (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) during construction, commissioning, and startup activities in the data center. This critical safety role prevents accidental energization, supports safe work practices, and protects personnel and equipment during high-risk phases of the project.

- Oversee and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for all energy sources on site
- Verify and approve energy isolation points before any work begins on electrical, mechanical, or other energized systems
- Conduct pre-work safety reviews and energy hazard assessments for construction and commissioning tasks
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure proper de-energization and grounding
- Perform regular audits and inspections of LOTO devices, tags, and isolation procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all energy isolations, permits, and clearances
- Serve as the single point of control for re-energization of systems after work is completed and verified
- Stop any unsafe work related to energy sources immediately
- Train and coach site personnel on energy control procedures and best practices
- Participate in incident investigations involving energy-related events
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards
