We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer & Integration Specialist to lead a five-week engagement focused on visualizing procurement and deal management data. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between Atlassian Jira Cloud and Tableau, managing the project from requirements gathering through to the final delivery of executive-level dashboards.
You will be responsible for configuring connectors, translating stakeholder needs into technical requirements, and building a cohesive Tableau workbook that tracks deal status, cost savings, and team workload distribution.

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer & Integration Specialist to lead a five-week engagement focused on visualizing procurement and deal management data. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between Atlassian Jira Cloud and Tableau, managing the project from requirements gathering through to the final delivery of executive-level dashboards.
You will be responsible for configuring connectors, translating stakeholder needs into technical requirements, and building a cohesive Tableau workbook that tracks deal status, cost savings, and team workload distribution.
Successful Candidates Will Have Experience In The Following
- Data modeling in tableau
- Intermediate Understanding of the Jira Data model
- Configuring automatic data refreshes in Tableau
- Building Tableau dashboards with drill down
- Conduct interviews with stakeholders and team leads to identify specific configuration needs and reporting KPIs.
- Create a documented list of report requirements and a prioritized backlog of work to be completed within the engagement timeframe.
- Collaborate with Tableau Administrators to acquire necessary access.
- Enable and configure the Tableau Connector for Jira within the Jira Cloud instance.
- Design and build a single comprehensive Tableau workbook containing distinct views for Executives and Procurement Team members.
- Configure specific charts and reports including:
- Executive Summary: High-level view of deal management.
- Financial Metrics: Total cost savings on deals and savings broken down by cost center.
- Operational Metrics: Status of deals (Complete vs. In Progress) and distribution of work across team members.
Requirements
Requirements for Success
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Server/Online, specifically in creating complex dashboards with drill-down functionality.
- Deep understanding of Jira Cloud data structures and experience using the Tableau Connector for Jira.
- Ability to visualize financial data (cost savings, cost centers) and operational data (workload distribution).
- Strong communication skills for interviewing stakeholders and conducting training/handoff sessions.
