Overview
PRADCO is recruiting an Outside Sales Manager on behalf of a leading US Valve and Fittings Manufacturer to achieve strategic sales goals, including increasing sales volume, expanding market reach, and boosting sales order profitability in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States . The role focuses heavily on acquiring new clients, but also involves managing and growing an existing book of business in a profitable sales territory.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead regional sales strategy to drive growth, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Build and grow client relationships, managing existing accounts and developing new partnerships
- Identify new business opportunities through market insights and trend analysis
- Partner with marketing and represent the company at events, trade shows, and client meetings
- Negotiate contracts to maximize profitability while ensuring strong customer relationships and professional communication
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, responsiveness, and communication with customers, distributors, contractors, EPC firms, and end users
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, or 5–7 years of outside sales experience in industrial/manufacturing environments (fluid/piping preferred)
- Proven ability to drive growth through strategic prospecting, competitive conversions, distributor development, and consistently exceeding sales targets
- Strong leadership, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, including technical sales, product demonstrations, and training delivery
- Demonstrated success building trust-based relationships with customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders, with professionalism, accountability, and effective conflict management
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with strong territory planning skills, market knowledge (Mid-Atlantic & Northeast), and proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary $100,000 Year One OTE is between $125,000 to $150,000
- Commission is ½% on all territory sales, with an annual 1% bonus on growth
- First-year growth expectations are 8-15%, combining both new business and expansion of inherited accounts
