Job Responsibilities
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads and unloads materials as assigned.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
- Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Must follow safety protocols to include wearing proper PPE at all times in designated area.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean working environment.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 6 months experience in plastics or molding manufacturing.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers and fractions.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
- The employee is required to use their hands to pull, push, handle, or feel of the product being produced. They must also have the ability to stoop, kneel or crouch.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
- Employee will stand 95% of the workday.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and or hazardous chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
