Job Description
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, databases, and mission-critical systems.
- Manage virtualization environments (VMware) and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
- Administer Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Automate processes using scripting and other tools to increase efficiency.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions (Rubrik).
- Ensure system security by monitoring, remediating vulnerabilities, and maintaining compliance with cybersecurity protocols.
- Monitor system health, configure alerts, and perform routine operations and maintenance checks to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Provide technical support for account issues, replication errors, and operational disruptions.
- Manage SQL Server replication, backups, and restorations while adhering to data retention policies.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, operations, and managed services teams to implement system upgrades, patches, and standard changes.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure and security best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL Server replication and database management.
- Experience with ITIL-based workflows and ticketing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Collaborative, self-directed, and capable of managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of organizational structure and the ability to work effectively within it.
- Certifications such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- CompTIA Security
- Experience in Agile environments and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Familiarity with SharePoint administration and integration.
