What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrum Master position at Practovate?
Job Description
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
- Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum practices and delivery standards.
- Track sprint progress using metrics (velocity, burndown).
- Coach teams on Agile best practices and foster a high-performing environment.
- Remove impediments, manage risks, and coordinate cross-team dependencies.
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain a well-groomed, prioritized backlog.
- Ensure clear user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
- Support stakeholder communication and expectation management.
- Align delivery with Workday HCM releases and coordinate testing (UAT, system testing).
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and performance monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 years as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.
- Experience with HR systems, preferably Workday HCM.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- CSM, PSM, or equivalent certification.
- Workday implementation or support experience.
- Familiarity with HR processes (hire-to-retire).
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
