Job Details

We are seeking Medical Oncologists to join our team on a locum tenens basis in Illinois. This is a strong opportunity for a physician interested in a combination of daytime coverage and overnight/weekend call at a Level I Trauma Center.

Overview

• Approximately 20 shifts/month
• 8:00 AM–4:00 PM day shifts, 4:00 PM–8:00 AM overnight call
• Weekend Call: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM
• Support: On-site APP for consults, follow-ups, and patient management; PRN Medical Oncologist available one week per month
• EMR: Epic
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including consultations, admissions, and follow-up care
• Conduct hospital rounding as needed
• Collaborate with APPs on consults, follow-ups, orders, and patient management
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary cancer team
• Provide continuity of care alongside hospital staff and consulting services
• Provide coverage when the PRN Medical Oncologist is not on-site
  
  

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
• Active Illinois medical license (CSR required)
• DEA and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
