As a Radiation Oncologist, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive cancer care. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute treatment plans while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop evidence-based radiation treatment plans
- Perform and oversee simulations, treatment planning, and delivery
- Review imaging and conduct on-treatment visits to monitor progress
- Utilize advanced modalities including:
- IMRT, VMAT, SBRT/SABR, SRS, FSRT, and TBI
- 3D conformal therapy, electron treatments, DIBH, and 4DCT
- Conduct procedures such as nasopharyngoscopy
- Participate in:
- Tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences
- Weekly chart rounds and quality assurance activities
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Support clinical research efforts and patient education on trials
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Training: Completion of Radiation Oncology residency
- Board Certification: American Board of Radiology (ABR) – Required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years within the past 3 years
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license
- DEA Registration: Required
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care
- Expertise across a wide range of oncologic and benign conditions
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Dedication to continuous learning and quality improvement
