Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care: evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics; develop and manage treatment plans
- Perform minor procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate
- Coordinate care and refer patients to specialists when needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered care
- Supervise and support clinical staff; participate in peer review as needed
- Support and participate in preventive care initiatives (immunizations, screenings, etc.)
- Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation, coding, and billing
- Participate in quality improvement and organizational initiatives
- Provide rotating after-hours/on-call coverage
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
- MD or DO from an accredited program
- Completed residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
- Licensed (or eligible) in Virginia
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and professionalism
- Comfortable working with diverse and underserved populations
- Adaptable, organized, and able to manage a dynamic clinical environment
- Outpatient clinical setting with potential exposure to infectious materials
- Adherence to standard precautions and infection control protocols
- Participation in required health screenings and immunizations (e.g., TB, Hepatitis B)
- Physical ability to perform essential clinical duties (reasonable accommodations available)
- Reports to Clinical Director and/or Regional Medical Officer
- Participates in organizational committees and team initiatives
