Position Overview
As Facility Operations Manager, you’ll ensure our properties run smoothly and meet high standards. You’ll build and lead a strong facilities team, set up reliable systems and processes, track budgets and reporting, and own cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. The right candidate is detail-oriented, hires and retains top talent, and runs operations with speed and consistency.
You may begin working remote, but expected to move full-time to Roatan, Honduras after your first 2 months.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, hire, and retain high-performing maintenance, cleaning, and landscaping staff.
- Coach, develop, and hold the team accountable to minimize turnover and raise performance.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Operational Oversight
- Create and refine systems to run day-to-day operations efficiently.
- Plan and manage routine and preventative maintenance to keep facilities at peak condition.
- Oversee vendors and contractors, ensuring quality and cost control.
3. Financial Management & Reporting
- Manage department budgets and track operating expenses against targets.
- Bill cost centers accurately and maintain clear, transparent reporting.
- Identify savings opportunities without sacrificing safety or service quality.
4. Maintenance, Safety & Standards
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with local regulations.
- Implement emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain security, cleanliness, and appearance through clear standards and regular inspections.
5. Continuous Improvement & KPIs
- Implement best-practice facilities management, using technology where it adds value.
- Track and report KPIs to improve service levels and efficiency.
- Stay current on tools and trends to keep operations world-class.
6. Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the main point of contact between facilities and other teams/leadership.
- Provide regular updates on projects, budgets, and operational performance.
- Partner cross-functionally to anticipate and solve facilities needs.

- Strong organization and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid financial skills (budgets, cost centers, spend analysis).
