PPT Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager in Huntsville, Alabama.
Responsibilities for the Configuration Manager:
- Develop and implement configuration management strategies, processes, and procedures.
- Create and maintain configuration baselines while ensuring all changes are documented and compliant with established policies.
- Monitor and track configuration items throughout their lifecycle to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of configuration management practices.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of configuration settings to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide training and support to staff on configuration management processes and best practices.
- Conduct Configuration Control Board meetings.
- Develop and transmit deliverable data and document packages.
- Develop data packages for Configuration Audits.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Configuration Manager:
- Must have 10 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.
- Must be able to travel.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Configuration Manager:
- Experience using databases.
- Data delivery schedule management.
- Ability to interpret contract requirements and relate them to CDRL deliverable requirements.
- Ability to interpret and follow Government policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent written, oral and presentation/communication skills.
- Integrity, flexibility/adaptability, initiative, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and multitasking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
