What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at PPS-HPS?
PPS is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing partner in Newbury, Ohio. This is a 1st-shift opportunity for a skilled machinist comfortable running CNC turning, milling, and multi-axis equipment while maintaining tight tolerances and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, turning centers, and multi-axis equipment
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues
- Monitor production and make adjustments to maintain tolerances
- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment/work areas clean
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Requirements
- 3 years of CNC machining experience
- Experience with CNC turning and/or milling
- Ability to perform offsets, tool changes, and program edits
- Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
- Ability to work within tight tolerances
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
