What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift position at PPG?
As a Production Supervisor- 2nd Shift, you will mentor safety, quality and productivity of teams to ensure goals are met through the development of and adherence to standardized work. Through process confirmation and building worker accountability, you will ensure that the shift is running safely, efficiently, and producing quality products.
The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday, 2PM to 10:30PM, with a requirement to be on a weekend rotation every 3rd weekend.

Main Responsibilities
- Build a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks.
- Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents.
- Resolve workflow problems by analyzing impediments and organizing work to improve use of personnel and material resources.
- Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput.
- Helps to maintain the safety program to minimize accidents and injuries and to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support problem resolution with cross-functional teams, including the Quality department, Engineers, and others.
- HS Diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Proven 5 years' experience in production, and previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., to bend, and stand or walk for long periods of time in a fast-paced environment.
