We are seeking an experienced Customer Development Chemist to join our dynamic Industrial Coatings team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and executing raw material and product stewardship projects across various coatings chemistries and markets.

Responsibilities
* Coordinate and execute activities to support corporate raw material initiatives and aid in technical raw material decision-making
* Work with technical, procurement, and commercial teams to identify and drive raw material cost savings and supply security projects
* Support Americas operations on raw material optimization projects, growth projects, and supply issues
* Develop strategy for PPG Restricted Substances and support any relevant new/impending regulatory regulations
* Provide support for customer and production-relation issues as needed
* Ensure alignment to standard methodologies and best practices for formulation creation
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in chemistry or related field required
* Bachelor's degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience required OR Master's degree with relevant experience
* Strong knowledge of coatings formulation, manufacture, application, and testing procedures preferred
* Supply chain and/or manufacturing experience is preferred
