As the Operations Supply Chain Manager, you will manage the operational supply chain functions across PMC facilities, part of PPG's Industrial Coatings division, located in Little Rock (LR), Kansas City (KC), and Oklahoma City (OKC). You will be responsible for teams at all three sites, with the primary work location in Little Rock. The manager will ensure efficiency in production scheduling, raw materials procurement, and inventory management to support manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with the demand planning team to translate forecasts into applicable production orders and optimize inventory levels. You will report directly to the Little Rock Plant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain teams across all three PMC facilities (LR, KC, OKC), encouraging collaboration and consistent operational practices.
- Develop production schedules to meet manufacturing demands across multiple sites.
- Oversee procurement of raw materials ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage inventory levels of finished goods (FG) and raw materials (RM) to increase stock and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with the demand planning team to convert sales forecasts into accurate production orders.
- Analyze inventory and demand trends to make timely decisions on stocking levels, including minimum and maximum adjustments.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage supply chain processes and data; experience with SAP.
- Prioritize tasks to meet operational deadlines and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams across multiple sites.
- 5 years of experience with production scheduling and raw materials procurement.
- Experience managing inventory levels for both finished goods and raw materials.
- Proficiency with ERP systems; experience with SAP.
- Travel approximately 10-15% to Kansas City and Oklahoma City facilities to support and coordinate supply chain activities.
