Manufacturing Excellence Engineer
About the Role:
This position is responsible for improving and optimizing manufacturing processes to reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance profitability.
The initial focus will be on one facility within the silica business, with plans to expand to multiple facilities.
The Manufacturing Excellence Engineer will work onsite in Lake Charles, LA, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Excellence Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering problem-solving and process improvement projects across various teams, including maintenance, operations, supply chain, procurement, EHS, and finance.
- Develop and implement project scopes ranging from small operational improvements to large capital investments.
- Collaborate with production and process engineers on new technology projects and new product scale-up and commissioning.
- Work with finance and commercial teams on economic and sustainability initiatives.
- Provide coaching to operational team members on data analysis, issue identification, and process improvement techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (chemical engineering preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (Black Belt preferred).
- Project management experience is a plus.
