What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP Job Coach position at PPEP Inc.?
The Job Coach supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in completing their assigned workplace tasks—primarily in a warehouse setting. Under the supervision of the DTA Supervisor, the Job Coach provides on-site training, supervision, and ongoing guidance to help participants build work skills, develop appropriate workplace behaviors, and maintain safety. The role involves monitoring performance, reinforcing progress, documenting attendance and goals, and participating in person-centered service plan (PCSP) meetings. The Job Coach also advocates for participants’ needs, promotes independence, and may provide transportation according to individual plans. Additional responsibilities include maintaining communication with supervisors, attending trainings, completing required reports, and collaborating with team members and partner agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma (Associate degree preferred)
- Relevant education, training, or experience
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Ability to use a computer monitor and navigate stairs
