This role manages the daily operations, maintenance, and administrative functions of a HUD-subsidized multi-family apartment complex. Responsibilities include acting as the primary liaison for tenants, coordinating maintenance work, handling leasing tasks, ensuring HUD compliance, collecting rent and deposits, maintaining tenant and property records, conducting inspections, and performing minor cleaning/repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily property operations and tenant relations
- Determine tenant eligibility and process rental applications per HUD rules
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests and repairs
- Collect rent, issue receipts, and maintain financial and tenant records
- Conduct move-in/move-out and routine property inspections
- Perform light cleaning and minor repairs as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- 3–5 years of site apartment management experience
- Knowledge of HUD policies and procedures
- Strong record-keeping and computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and insurability
- Experience supervising maintenance staff
- YARDI experience preferred
- Equivalent education/experience combinations accepted
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 years HUD property management experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to read/see a computer screen
