Job Overview:
The Pet Care Program Supervisor oversees program-level operations, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met. This role bridges hands-on animal care with people management, supporting multiple business lines including dog training, daycare, grooming, boarding, transportation, enrichment, and Animal Assisted Wellness. The Supervisor supports the Operations Manager by supervising staff, monitoring client experience, and ensuring compliance with facility standards and animal welfare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Daily Operations Oversight
- Ensure smooth daily execution of grooming, daycare, boarding, training, transportation, enrichment, and AAW services.
- Maintain daily cleaning/sanitization of interiors and ensure exterior property is debris-free and uniformly landscaped.
- Embed outcome-focused metrics: pet well-being, client satisfaction, revenue per service hour.
- Apply SMART goals to staff tasks (e.g., on-time grooms, accurate training notes).
Dog Training & Program Development
- Supervise delivery of training services.
- Ensure training progress reports are completed and communicated to clients.
- Integrate enrichment activities into daily care routines.
- Coordinate new training program rollouts with Operations Manager.
Team Supervision & Engagement
- Directly supervise program staff and technicians.
- Conduct daily huddles and mid-week feedback sessions.
- Promote accountability, recognize contributions, and ensure staff understand where loyalty, safety, and client care intersect.
- Provide coaching in handling, behavior, and customer interaction.
Client Experience & Communication
- Serve as point-of-contact for clients during program operations.
- Foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and educate owners on pet behavior, care, and training.
- Support marketing and community engagement initiatives (open houses, adoption events, school/hospital AAW visits).
Risk, Compliance & Productivity
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare laws, labor standards, and safety protocols.
- Utilize Gingr, POS, and CRM dashboards to monitor KPIs (occupancy, upsells, throughput).
- Implement SOPs for all services to minimize errors and rework.
- Monitor staff wellness to balance productivity with sustainable performance.
Experience & Skills:
- 5 years in pet care, training, or animal services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of dog training methods, group play management, and animal handling.
- Experience with grooming, boarding, daycare, or enrichment programs preferred.
- Proficiency with pet care software (Gingr or similar), scheduling, and reporting tools.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proven ability to coach and motivate teams.
- Conflict resolution, customer service, and community engagement experience.
- Analytical thinker with ability to track data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business, Operations, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications in dog training, grooming, or animal care are highly valued.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
