The Senior Estimator is a key contributor responsible for preparing detailed electrical estimates across a variety of projects. This role involves interpreting blueprints, performing quantity take-offs, and coordinating closely with project teams to ensure accurate and timely project bids. This position will play an active role in mentoring and developing new estimators to support team growth and success.

Electrical Estimating (Primary Responsibility)

Electrical Estimating (Primary Responsibility)
- Prepare accurate and timely electrical cost estimates for commercial and/or industrial projects
- Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, material, and equipment
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop budgets, value-engineering options, and alternates
- Assist with bid reviews, scope clarifications, and proposal preparation
- Support and develop electrical designs for design-build projects
- Assist in layout of lighting, power, and low-voltage systems
- Coordinate design intent with customers, engineers, and field staff
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, local codes, and project requirements
- Prepare or assist with design documentation and revisions
- Assist project managers with submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Coordinate material procurement and deliveries
- Maintain project documentation and tracking logs
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Support scheduling and job closeout activities
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
- Higher education in Architectural Technology (or related) OR equivalent experience preferred
- 8 years experience in electrical estimating, electrical design, or project coordination (combination preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble, or similar) is a plus
- Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical construction experience
- Design-build project experience
- Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
- Experience working closely with field operations
