Job Summary

The Sr. Technical Accounting Analyst will play a pivotal role in the Accounting department by providing technical accounting expertise and support in the preparation and review of audited financial statements, audit memos, and other critical accounting entries. This individual will collaborate closely with internal teams, including working on various auditing and financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all reporting and accounting activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong technical accounting knowledge, and is adept at managing complex financial data and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Financial Statements:
  • Assist in the preparation and review of audited financial statements.
  • Work closely with external audit teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial reports and supporting documentation.
• Audit Memos and Documentation:
  • Update audit memos and support documentation to facilitate the audit process.
  • Address audit queries and provide clarifications as needed to support the auditing process.
• Stock Compensation Analysis:
  • Manage and process stock compensation entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Purchase Accounting Support:
  • Provide support for purchase accounting activities including the consolidation of acquired companies and integration of financial statements.
  • Analyze purchase accounting entries and adjust as necessary to meet regulatory and reporting standards.
  • Develop and analyze the acquired company’s actual working capital compared to the purchase agreement.
  • Prepare detailed calculations and work papers, ensuring proper allocation of purchase price adjustments and accurate reflection of acquisition costs in the financial statements.
• Corporate Intercompany Financing Transactions:
  • Handle the processing and reconciliation of corporate intercompany entries for loans and deferred tax.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of intercompany financing transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
• Month-End Close Procedures/Analysis:
  • Support the General Accounting department with reviewing complex reconciliations and calculations, including those related to commissions, ASC 606, and ASC 842.
  • Review Internal Financial Statements (including a financial package for PE Sponsor) for accuracy and consistency.
• Technical Accounting Expertise:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters.
  • Assist in the interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards and policies.
• Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and controls.
  • Provide support during ERP Implementation by assisting with system configuration, GL data migration, and testing to ensure that the new system meets financial reporting and accounting requirements.
