Flexographic Platemaking Technician

Job Summary:

Using state-of-art equipment and technology, the Plate Technician will safely follow standard operating procedures to produce, cut, package and ship flexo printing plates to internal customers. This is a fast-paced role requiring high quality results and customer service to ensure excellent customer satisfaction with plate deliveries.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Read and understand customer specifications to properly set up plate layout on platemaking software
• Transfer large sheets of photopolymer between processing machines
• Safely operate plate imaging, processing and cutting equipment
• Perform quality checks and complete required documentation
• Collate and properly package the completed plates and COAs (certificate of analysis) for local delivery or shipping to remote sites
• Maintain record-keeping spreadsheets and calculations
• Manage inventory of supplies to ensure no disruptions in service
• Operate a pallet jack and/or forklift to transport materials as needed
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times

Minimal Job Requirements:

• Education Level: High school diploma required. Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of operating industrial equipment or machines.

Required Skills:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft programs with the ability to learn proprietary applications required to produce flexo plates
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required
• Prefer flexographic platemaking experience
