Arvada Pet Sitter (Experience Required)

Part-Time Pet Sitter & Dog Walker – Arvada, CO

We are looking for a reliable, experienced pet care professional to provide dog walks, pet sitting, vacation drop-in visits, cat care, and overnight care in Arvada and the surrounding area.

This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor position.

Schedule

Day shifts are available Monday through Friday. Additional opportunities may include evenings, weekends, overnight stays, and holidays.

Schedules vary based on client needs, so flexibility is helpful.

What You’ll Do

• Walk dogs for approximately 30–45 minutes
• Feed pets and refresh water
• Clean litter boxes and provide cat care
• Pick up and properly dispose of pet waste
• Administer oral medications when needed
• Provide vacation and evening drop-in visits
• Stay overnight in clients’ homes when scheduled
• Bring in mail and packages, take out trash, and water plants during overnight stays
• Make sure clients’ homes remain safe and secure
• Care for dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and occasionally reptiles

We also care for senior and special-needs pets, including animals with mobility issues, medication needs, or detailed care plans.

You must be comfortable handling large dogs.

Who We’re Looking For

We need someone who is dependable, mature, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

You should have:

• Prior professional pet care experience
• Strong communication skills
• Good judgment and common sense
• Ability to follow detailed care instructions
• Comfort being active and outdoors in varying weather
• Ability to walk approximately 4–5 miles on a busy day
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21
• Reliable vehicle
• Valid driver’s license
• Working smartphone
• Ability to pass a background check
• Two to three professional references
