Profile:
A Poynter Project Engineer supports the successful execution of construction projects through project setup, documentation management, procurement tracking, quantity takeoffs, and progress reporting. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate project information and supporting project controls processes throughout the project lifecycle.

This position will primarily support a dedicated client project and work closely with Project Management and field leadership to coordinate project documentation, procurement tracking, change management, and progress measurement activities. The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of the client's processes, requirements, and expectations while supporting field operations and maintaining organized, accurate, and accessible project information.

Essential Functions:

· Collaborate with Project Management and field leadership to develop and maintain material procurement plans based on project schedules, installation sequencing, and project requirements.

· Develop, maintain, and monitor procurement tracking logs to support material planning, project execution, and schedule requirements.

· Establish and maintain project file structures, documentation systems, and electronic records in accordance with company standards.

· Perform drawing overlays, quantity takeoffs, and scope comparisons between contract and current design documents to support change order documentation and tracking.

· Prepare, submit, track, and maintain RFIs, submittals, and related project documentation.

· Coordinate and document duct testing activities, including tracking requirements, results, and project compliance.

· Provide technology support and training resources for field leadership, including guidance on digital project documentation, software tools, and company processes.

· Conduct job site visits as needed to verify project information and support field operations.

· Maintain accurate project records and support project controls processes throughout the project lifecycle.

· Collaborate with Project Management, field leadership, and internal support teams to ensure timely and accurate project information.

Education & Experience Requirements:

· Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.

· 0-3 years of experience in construction, project engineering, project coordination, project controls, procurement, scheduling, document control, or a related field.

· Relevant construction, trade, military, internship, or field leadership experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications preferred.

· Experience with project documentation, procurement tracking, quantity takeoffs, scheduling, or construction management processes is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

· Experience with Bluebeam Revu strongly preferred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

· Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to learn new software, processes, and construction technologies.

· Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both field and office personnel

Working Conditions

· This position is primarily based in an office environment; however, occasional job site visits and periodic work from project sites or client locations may be required based on project needs, available workspace, and business requirements.

· Requires extended periods of computer work.

· When visiting jobsites, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn, and all company and site safety requirements must be followed.

· Ability to work in both office and active construction site environments, including walking, standing, and navigating jobsites as required.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
