Aircraft Metal Structures TIG Technician

Hastings, MI — Like solving build puzzles? Enjoy transforming a blueprint into a flawless assembly? This role puts you at the heart of fabricating aircraft components with exacting standards.

What will you do?

• Use TIG to weld carbon steel, aluminum, and thin-wall stainless tubing to precise specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to plan each build.
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts to meet project requirements.
• Inspect welds and finished products to confirm quality assurance criteria.
• Keep your station clean and organized while following safety protocols.
• Coordinate with teammates and other departments to keep schedules on track.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving fabrication issues as they come up.

Am I a fit?

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in TIG welding and fabrication.
• Solid understanding of welding processes, materials, and safety practices.
• Comfortable interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Detail-focused with a commitment to top-tier workmanship.
• Strong problem-solver who works well independently and with a team.
• Physically able to handle materials and equipment throughout the shift.
