Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of ten years of experience for our client's DC Metro office.
This role provides the opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office.
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing engineering for a variety of projects involving HVAC systems, plumbing systems and coordinating multifaceted projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designing HVAC and plumbing systems
- Managing and designing multiple concurrent projects
- Managing project team for budget and schedule control
- Experience with Load Calculation Software
- Working knowledge of REVIT and CAD
- Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus
- Active local industry involvement is a plus
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing and ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
- Ability to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
- Ability to travel periodically
