The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and coordinating the shipment of finished goods produced by the manufacturing plant. This position ensures that all customer orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in accordance with company, customer, and carrier requirements. The role involves close coordination with production, inventory, and quality control to verify that products meet specifications and shipping standards before leaving the facility. Responsibilities:Prepare and package finished products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and load security.Verify order accuracy by cross-checking shipping paperwork, production reports, and packing lists.Coordinate daily shipments with freight carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, full truckload, etc.), ensuring efficient use of carrier services and timely pickups.Inspect finished goods for quality and quantity compliance before release to customers.Maintain communication with production and inventory control to confirm product availability and prioritize outgoing orders.Create and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier manifests.Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in the company’s manufacturing software system.Track and report shipment metrics, delays, and discrepancies to management.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards for packaging and labeling.Assist with receiving incoming materials and staging components for production when necessary.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
