We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Designer/Drafter to join our marine manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will create accurate 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation to support production processes. This role requires strong collaboration with engineers and production teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and quality standards. Responsibilities:Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for components, assemblies, and tooling.Prepare technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications for manufacturing.Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements.Apply GD&T principles and maintain compliance with industry standards.Support CNC programming, fixture design, and troubleshooting during production.Maintain accurate design files and revision histories.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and reduce costs.Participate in product testing and engineering improvementsParticipate in robotic cell developmentParticipate in patent developmentQualifications:Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (casting, machining, welding, sheet metal, injection molding).Knowledge of GD&T and ISO/ASME standards.Entry-level: Internship or coursework in CAD and manufacturing.Mid-level: 2–5 years in a manufacturing design environment.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
