Powerstone Property Management is seeking a Part-Time Recreation Assistant at an on-site 55 plus community association in Mission Viejo. This person reports to the Lifestyle Director.
Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Position Summary: The Recreation Assistant monitors resident and guest use of club facilities for adherence to the Rules & Regulations regarding facility use. In addition, will assist in functions/duties relating to operation and maintenance of facilities, and maintain verification of residents' membership to the club facilities, and surrounding facilities at the community. Under the supervision of the Lifestyle Director, work involves preparation and set-up of scheduled facility events in coordination with appropriate departments/residents.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Greet residents and guests as they enter the Clubhouse and answer the phone
- Inform residents and guests of Rules & Regulations as needed
- Assist in pre-event advertising and sell tickets for events
- Assist with event decoration and prop set-up (requires lifting boxes and climbing on ladders)
- Participate in hosting during an HOA sponsored event
- Knowledge of operating electronic, digital, and A/V equipment used for events, including a sound mixer, DVD player, video, and projector
- Provide event set-up, as well as clean-up and tear-down after events as required
- Update the recreation calendar, community website, and digital signage for events as requested
- Report any facility and maintenance issues to Lifestyle Director and Assistant Manager
- Conduct routine daily walk-throughs inspecting all club areas and correcting/reporting deficiencies or problems as needed
- Enter received work orders from residents into the information system and email the appropriate department of the work order
- Set-up and tear-downs of tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, events, and activities following written or verbal instruction
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience Required
High school degree preferred. Must be a minimum of 18 years old to meet community age restriction requirements.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including work nights, weekends and holidays. A minimum of one holiday per year.
- Ability to assist in covering team shifts as needed
- Hours may extend pass the shift hour as needed.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills
