Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade. The Apprentice Electrician will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, assisting with various tasks on commercial and residential construction sites and service calls. The role requires a willingness to learn and develop skills in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
Duties
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Support experienced electricians in working with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
- Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
- Participate in the construction process by assisting with frame carpentry as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) during all work activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
Requirements
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Experience on construction sites is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively.
- Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks associated with the role.
