Inside Sales - Electrical

In this role, the selected candidate will interact with customers and sales personnel to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services, order entry, and order status.
Essential Functions/Duties
- Receive product orders from customers and sales personnel then enter order into database system with proper markings/labeling for the order.
- Inform customers and/or sales personnel of price change, shipping date, anticipated delays and any additional information, as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiry/question quickly and accurately on problem resolution while maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude at all times.
- Contact product line manufacturer concerning order status, expediting, missing, or delayed shipments.
- Check and compare actual shipped order invoice to database system to ensure items were shipped or on backorder regarding the quantity shipped.
- Document received customer feedback, notify assigned sales personnel, and submit/track warranty claims.
- Assist in preparation of information for sales forecast and quotations.
- Complete special projects or other duties as assigned.
- Retain and maintain necessary records and/or files.
- Perform other duties as appointed or required to successfully complete the job.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in Business is helpful but not required. Appropriate related work experience considered. Minimum of one to three years related experience.
- Proficient with computers, electronic mail, Microsoft Office suite applications, video presentations, conference calls, as well as additional office equipment [printers, copiers, telephone, calculators, etc.]
- Ability to work individually or in a team environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess positive attitude, integrity, work ethic, excellent time management skills, and efficient at job duties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure, especially during busy hours.
- Adept in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe PDF products. Some graphic software knowledge is helpful.
- Aptitude to learn new equipment, programs, or applications.
- Comfortable working extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of the job must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The job mainly includes sitting, talking, listening, use of fingers, entering data, viewing of computer monitor, lifting, bending, standing, and/or reaching. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Travel
This job may have some travel for meetings – approximately 10% to perform sales calls and to meet with clients. Some overnight travel may be required due to customer locations, training, meetings and/or conferences.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
