Flooring Installer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Flooring Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and refinishing a variety of flooring materials across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Duties

• Measure, cut, and prepare flooring materials such as hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy, and carpet according to project specifications and technical drawings
• Install flooring systems using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety standards and building codes
• Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and installation instructions to ensure precise execution
• Perform floor refinishing tasks including buffing, sanding, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore surfaces to their optimal condition
• Handle manual tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and cabinet setup to complete finished spaces
• Ensure proper handling of building materials with safe manual handling techniques and maintain a clean work environment
• Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects and assist with other construction tasks like painting or restoration as needed

Experience

• Proven experience in flooring installation including hardwood, vinyl, tile laying, epoxy floor installation, and carpet setup
• Strong background in construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings, and following construction plans
• Familiarity with building material installation safety compliance and construction site safety protocols
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, buffing equipment, and other relevant machinery
• Prior work in the restoration industry or water damage restoration projects is highly desirable
• Knowledge of caulking techniques, trim carpentry, fixture installation, remodeling processes, and construction painting is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently on construction sites with excellent manual handling skills and attention to detail

Pay: $17.00 - $32.51 per hour
